Apple to possibly cut prices and design a netbook

With our current economic plight, computers are certainly not immune to the economic slide as even Apple’s mighty Mac has taken a recent hit. Even though the hit was pretty small, and Mac is still a dominant force in the computer world, netbooks have recently seen many profits and continue to surge. And why not?
Netbooks are great for our fast paced society. They can perform every function a laptop has, maybe not to the same ability, but it does a damn good job of it. And you have Internet access anywhere, and they are definitely affordable. Apple has been rumored to be planning price cuts on the Mac and even engineer their own netbook to jump in on the bandwagon.
Microsoft’s latest ad campaigns have even begun to attack Apple and claim that their Macs are overpriced. In today’s economy, those types of ads work very well, as many Americans have become concerned with their spending.
People associated with predicting Apple’s business strategies predict that Apple will cut pricing on their 13 inch systems and iMac. In addition, price cuts could come as early as this spring. Keep in mind that Apple should be unveiling another iPhone in June, and not to mention the Palm Pre should be released soon.
This summer will be a first for Apple. They will be facing legitimate competition on all fronts. They are going to have to counter with a strong iPhone, solid Mac restructuring, and hopefully a new iPod.
