In a press release (Japanese) , Japanese equipment and peripheral manufacter Buffalo has announced that it will launch what it claims to be the smallest USB 2.0 Wi-Fi N adapter in the WLI-UC-GN unit, which is suitable for intensive multimedia streaming or file transfers with full backwards compatibility for 802.11b/g networks as well.
The unit measures just a bit larger than its USB input at 33mm x 16mm and supports its proprietary AirStation One-Touch Secure System, base station functionality, along with automated WPS functionality for additional security. The device is currently only available in Japan for ~$25, which would make it the cheapest full-featured Draft N device on the market.
