Samsung internal documentation has leaked chip designer ARM’s roadmap for the next three years with the following processor designs:

Orion is an 800-MHz Cortex-A9 dual-core processor due to sample in the third quarter and enter mass production in the first quarter of 2011.

Pegasus is a 1-GHz Cortex-A9, single-core sampling in the second quarter of 2011 and entering mass production in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Hercules is a 1-GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 sampling in the third quarter of 2011 and set for mass production in the first quarter of 2012.

Mercury is a 600-MHz single-core Cortex-A5 processor (Sparrow) due in 2010/11.

Venus is a 600-MHz Cortex-A5 dual-core processor due in 2012/13.

Draco is a 1.2-GHz Cortex-A9 dual-core slated to arrive 2012/13.

Aquila is a 1.2-GHz Cortex-A9 quad-core expected in 2012/13.

The move to ARM from Intel for Samsung reflects a desire to maximize power and efficiency with the above chips being integrated in its netbook and mobile device lines. What is not clear is the GPU it will combine with the above chipsets, as it currently utilizes PowerVR GPUs and has previously stated that it will continue to use the line in future products.
