Energizer and partner XPAL recently announced that they will be teaming up to come out with a line of Energi To Go lithium polymer rechargeable power packs and emergency chargers for a bunch of different types of mobile devices such as PMPs, PNDs, portable DVD players, GPS, digital cameras, camcorders, netbooks and digicams. There’s no mention of prices yet, but you’ve got till July 2009 to keep searching your couch cushions.

There are over ten new products in all, with a few of the highlights being 7 models of the XP line of portable power systems designed to power up to three devices at once (just what you multi-taskers have been waiting for) including cell and smart phones, MP3 players, GPS units, Bluetooth, portable DVDs, digital cameras and camcorder batteries, netbooks, and laptops. They’ve got an AP Charger that will mount the iPhone (no word on whether or not the iPhone will consent), two sleek new portable power cases made to give extra power even when used with the high-drain Apple iPhone 3G, anytime, anywhere (I’m just ITCHIN’ to test that out). Using moldable lithium polymer battery cells designed to mimic the shape and styling of the iPhone (flat? rectangular? expensive?), these models can as much as double the life of the iPhone battery charge. Finally, there’s the SP line, which has portable solar-driven power packs with models designed to be used with power up cell and smart phones, iPod and MP3 players, GPS units, Bluetooth, and digital cameras. If Al Gore was human, he’d shed a tear.
