Eye-Fi Announces Geo Wi-Fi SD Card as Apple Exclusive

Eye-Fi Inc has announced the launch of the Eye-Fi Geo Wi-Fi enabled SD card with geotagging capability as an exclusive product which will be sold exclusively via the Apple Store.

The Eye-Fi Geo is intended to be used with iLife 08 and 09 integrating its Places photo sorting by location functionality as well as transferring pictures via Wi-Fi and MobileMe. The previous model in the Eye-Fi Go contained the same base functionality as the above card, but the geotagging service is now included into the cost of the card and no longer requires a separate annual fee.

The card will retail for $60 and is now available for purchase.
