Firefox 3.5 Releases Third Release Candidate

Just a few days after the launch of the Second Release Candidate of Mozilla’s Firefox 3, comes Release Candidate 3 on Thursday.

It was expected that the program would be officially released to the public after the second RC but feedback from the previous release prompted a few fixes and a third RC.

Although Firefox’s previous goal of having the program released before the end of June is now in jeopardy, they must take the proper steps to make sure the final program is flawless. With 300 million active users, 125 million more than last year, and an expected one billion plus downloads of the new version, Mozilla is killing all the bugs now and still has a few days to spare before the end of the month.

Release candidates are recommended for testers and developers and those who have already installed and tried out the beta and other release candidates although anyone is welcome to give it a shot.
