Hang in there, everyone!
For expediency, we ordered an Eee PC 901 to resume work. Both the Eee PC 901 and 1000H series feature Intel Atom processors, with the right chipsets to work with Mac OS X Leopard.
We still reccomend that you wait for an Eee PC 1000H, despite supplies being hard to come by. The SSD array in the Eee PC 901 is not optimized for Mac OS X, and will run poorly (as we saw with the Eee PC 700 and 900).
Unfortunately, the Eee PC 901 that we received, was dead on arrival. It simply won’t power up. So, we’re back to square one, waiting for a replacement unit. However, as soon as a working Eee PC 901 or 1000H arrives, we’ll get back to our goal of Leopard on the Eee series.
Update: Turns out, the system works… but the battery is defective. So, we’ll get to work, but the system will have to go back at some point.

10.5.2 on Eee PC 1000h?
Does the Ethernet LAN Card,Realtek ALC6628 Hi-Definition Audio,Wireless LAN works?
Right now, we have Leopard booting on the 901 (same internals as the 1000h). We’re not all there yet… so just hang in there for a few more days.
We do expect the Wi-Fi card to work with a simple driver… but again, stay tuned.
If it’s possible, it would be very nice if you could try installing tiger 10.4.11 on eee pc 901 and see if it’s all working fine. Thanks.
Over at the MSI Wind forums they have a 1000H thread going about installing OSX. So far they have had great success and audio is the current issue. Still nothing in that department. When I get my external drive tomorrow I am going to attempt the Kalyway 10.5.2. distro.
can you post your result? Thanks
I find this website, I hope this will help. I’m trying to download the IATKOS v4i distro

Well, I installed the MSIWindOSX distro instead of Kalyway because it was already updated to 10.5.4. It works reasonably well, but still no sound or ethernet (wireless does work however). I am fiddling around with it and am a bit lost as I have never used OSX before, but it is pretty cool none the less.
