Intel Debuts a Beta Version of It’s Open Source Moblin 2.1 OS

intlogoAt this week’s Intel Developer Forum, Intel debuted a beta version of its Moblin 2.1 open-source operating system. It is targeted to run on a variety of devices, including smartphones, Netbooks, nettops, Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs), and in-car systems.  The goal of Moblin is to bring a linux hybrid OS for the tech savy nice market.  The key for Intel, will be to successfully get developers on board their Atom Developer Program and develop apps for the new OS.  Intel’s goal is to lunch Moblin 2.1 by the end of this year.
