Intel to Launch Atom N270 Successor in October
Intel is gearing up to replace the Atom N270 CPU with a newer generation Netbook processor, the Atom N450.

Codename Pine Trail, the Atom N450 will be a single-core CPU with built-in northbridge functions and paired with the new Tiger Point chipset.
The Atom N450 will support DDR2 667 compared to DDR2 533 of the N270 and while the integrated graphic GMA950 will remain relatively the same, it will get a core frequency increase from 133MHz to 200MHz.

Of course, if you use GMA Booster, you can unlock the GMA950’s true speed… 400 MHz, without any problem. Why Intel artificially underclocks the GMA950 is beyond me… it certainly isn’t a heat issue, and the X3100 is rarely used anymore.
