Iriver Enters Bluetooth Market With A100

It’s always interesting to see how a company fares after they market a product that is very different than the ones we are accustomed to seeing.  In this case, iriver announced a new Bluetooth headset, which is pretty weird considering they are well known for their MP3 Players.

Today, they released some information regarding the new A100 Bluetooth headset.  Not many details were released on that it supports Bluetooth 2.0 technology, range of 10 meters, and (based on the picture) will come in black.  As soon as the device is released, it will be sold exclusively in China for the time being.  Without any pricing or size details, it is hard to judge how high quality the headset is and how it could compare to competitors.

In other words, it looks like your average Bluetooth headset.  It will be interesting to see if they develop any other devices for other countries.
