11:20: Running down webOS API benefits… Ares… etc
11:22: App Distribution. App Catalog APIs all opened for full access to purchase links, reviews, images, and app descriptions.
11:23: Project Appetite demo shows off new ways App Catalog API allows to find apps. Demo built by Palm, will be open sourced today. Allows for remote install, pushed to device from PC web browser.
11:24: Hot Apps bonus program. Million dollars in incentives for hottest apps (free and paid). Runs through May.
11:25: WebOS plug-in development kit (PDK). Native C/C++ code. Plug-in will be eventually be incorporated into main SDK, release in March at GDC SF.
11:26: 3D games initial focus of PDK. First games available today.
11:27: Travis Boatman of EA Games takes the stage.
11:29: Accelerometer and touch screen APIs are “excellent”, built-in to PDK.
11:30: Sims being demoed on Palm Pre
11:31: Need for Speed now being demoed.
11:33: Graphics performance similar to first gen iPhone.

11:37: Flip video quality… and not the HD version.

11:40: App switching works with PDK apps, live switching between native code apps.
11:41: PDK has pausing APIs, games auto pause when switching App Cards.

11:55: John Stratton of Verizon via video tape due to blizzard, plugging Pre and Pixi Plus with mobile hotspot.
