New 3G Eee to launch in Japan soon

If you are looking for smaller netbooks and faster data providing networks, Japan and Asus have the solution. Asus plans to launch its 10-inch netbook that is compatible with Japans wireless data provider NTT DoCoMo that uses 3G access to download data up to 7.2Mbps.
This means no wireless connection or hotspot is necessary. Aside from the 3G, the Eee PC has your standard 1.66Hz Atom N280 processor, 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, and a 1.3 megapixel webcam so you can Skype from anywhere in Japan. Of course, for when you are sipping your bubble tea at the nearest Starbucks, the netbook has Wi-Fi capability to boot. Netbooks, although small, have close to as many features as a regular laptop.
Windows XP home edition, Bluetooth V2.1, three USB 2.0 Ports, a multi format memory card reader, and a VGA output are additional features found in the 3G Eee. It has all the necessary requirements for the office, school or just for fun. In addition, this 3.11lb mini has 4.3 hours of battery life that should last through an entire viewing of Godzilla. So if you have $723 lying around, and you are in the area of Japan on May 16th, I recommend you check this out and download something to see how good Japans 3G network actually is.
