Spring Design Announces Pricing and Ship Date for Alex E-Reader

Spring Design has officially announced pricing and launch details for its Alex Reader, which is currently the subject of a legal battle between Spring Design and Barnes & Noble over design similarities to the recently released Nook right down to the Android-based operating system.

The Alex Reader features an 8-inch e-ink display at 600×800 with a secondary color 3.5 inch 320×480 LCD touch display, 256 MB of RAM, 2GB of flash memory for book and media storage, microSDHC expansion slot, 2.5mm headset jack with built-in mic and miniUSB port for charge/sync.

Pricing is set at $399.99 and will be shipping on February 22nd according to their press release.
