Wanted to try Windows Home Server, but didn’t want to pay the $10 for the demo to be mailed to you? Today’s the day to jump onboard the Home Server revolution.

Windows Home Server trial is now available to download from Microsoft’s web site. Just burn the ISO, grab an old Pentium III-era PC (or newer), and install.

Just be sure when you’re done to install some grid computing app on it to make those idle CPU cycles change the world.
